About The Jesus and Mary Chain

The Jesus and Mary Chain is a noise pop and post-punk band formed by brothers Jim Reid and William Reid, from East Kilbride, Glasgow, Scotland. They released albums, singles and EPs until their demise in 1998. Having influenced many alternative rock, indie rock and indie pop bands alike, the group reunited in 2007. The initial line-up, formed in 1983, was augmented by bassist Douglas Hart and drummer Bobby Gillespie. JAMC's early shows were legendary in underground circles.
