About The Jackson 5
The Jackson 5, later known as the Jacksons, are an American pop band formed by members of the Jackson family. The group originated in Gary, Indiana, in 1964, and initially consisted of brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael Jackson. They were managed by their father Joe Jackson. The group was among the first African American performers to gain a following across multiple musical genres. The Jackson 5 began performing in talent shows and clubs on the Chitlin' Circuit and signed with Steeltown Records in 1967
