About Stereolab
Stereolab is an Anglo-French avant-pop band formed in London in 1990. The group is led by the songwriting duo of Tim Gane and Lætitia Sadier. Their music combines repetitive motorik rhythms with vintage electronic keyboards and female vocals in English and French, drawing on influences from krautrock, funk, jazz, 1960s French pop, and Brazilian music. Their lyrics often explore political and philosophical themes inspired by the Surrealist and Situationist art movements.
