About Korn

Korn (stylized as KoЯn) is an American alternative metal band from Bakersfield, California, formed in 1993 by James "Munky" Shaffer, Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu, and David Silveria, who were previously members of the band L.A.P.D. The current lineup consists of Shaffer (guitar), Brian "Head" Welch (guitar), Jonathan Davis (vocals), and Ray Luzier (drums), who replaced Silveria in 2007. Korn is recognized for pioneering and popularizing what was labeled "nu metal" by the press and industry executives around the late 90s.
