Brian Peter George Eno (born 15 May 1948) is an English musician, songwriter, record producer, visual artist, sound designer, author, and political activist. He is known for his contributions to ambient music and electronica, as well as for his work in rock and pop music as a producer, composer, and collaborator. Eno has described himself as a "non-musician", reflecting his emphasis on conceptual and experimental approaches to music-making. He has been regarded as an influential figure in popular music.
