About Audioslave

Audioslave was an American rock supergroup formed in Glendale, California, in 2001. The band consisted of Chris Cornell from Soundgarden on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, along with Tom Morello on lead guitar, Tim Commerford on bass and backing vocals, and Brad Wilk on drums, all formerly members of Rage Against the Machine. Early commentary described their sound as a fusion of the two previous bands, though by the release of their second album, "Out of Exile," they were regarded as having developed a distinct musical identity.
