About Alphaville

Alphaville is a German synth-pop band formed in 1982 in Münster. The group was founded by singer Marian Gold together with musicians Bernhard Lloyd and Frank Mertens, and rose to prominence during the 1980s with singles including "Forever Young", "Big in Japan", "Sounds Like a Melody", "The Jet Set", and "Dance with Me". Gold remains the only continuous original member. The band’s name was taken from the 1965 film "Alphaville". The group emerged
